Chicagoland Professional Off Ice Hockey Training

The S.P.A. Hockey Training Institute utilizes a very scientific methodical proven method.

Many other hockey trainers focus on the "1 hour session" and do not create a plan that enables the athlete to start his/her training in the Spring and "peak" at the end of the season. This is the only way to train.

As the months go on, the training intensity increases and the quantity decreases (off the ice ) . When the season begins, we are already in top physical condition . As we begin top skate 3-5 times a week, the off ice training shifts gears. It is absolutely crucial to change the type of training that needs to be performed to coincide with playing. This is the ONLY way to build speed, power and agility long term. This is the method world class athletes use to train.

• One on one training
  • Work one on one with a strength coach who will teach, push and motivate you to reach top physical conditioning.
• Team training
  • Work as a team on your conditioning level to help enhance team unity and improve physical conditioning.
• Group training
  • Work together in small groups to help support each other with the focus of a qualified strength and conditioning coach to give you specific direction and exercises to accomplish your fitness goals.

  • 50 different exercises that will challenge the athlete to improve power.
